White Wines

Juicy quite meaty aroma, lots of cranberry and raspberry fruits, just enough weight to make it full and rounded

Red Wines

* Espiral Old Vine Garnacha 2007, Calatayud £7.49 bottle

Warm bramble fruits, quite deep and alcoholic with a cedar and juicy damson fruit character

* Castillo de Montblanc Tempranillo 2006, Conca de Barbera £8.49 bottle

A classic tempranillo with tight berry fruits, quite full and ripe with a dry long palate

* FOS Tempranillo 2006, Navarra £7.29 bottle

New style modern fleshy fruits, an open rich weight character, tannins are well balanced

* Vina Izadi Crianza 2003, Rioja £11.99 bottle

Pure new oak aroma, this is classic rioja, needs decanting to open the full woody, savoury herby palate
